My Playlists: When Vinyl Ruled

I had a sudden hankering for some classic rock  and the voices of Ian Hunter, Eric Burdon and Rod Argent, so I dug out an old set of mixes, “When Vinyl Ruled”  Plus, I still think Mott the Hoople is an awesome band name. Sadly, most songs are not in the Spotify database so there is no point sharing the link.

  1. Of course you still own said LPs, plus your old Pioneer turntable (w/ that 1983 latest-n-greatest-bragging-rights-worthy Audio Technica stylus), so Spotify’s glaring omissions shouldn’t matter to you personally, right?

    1. I have two turntables, a Dual and this other thing that I can use to digitize the LP. And yes, I still own the first album I ever bought. So I am covered, I just wish I could share easier although all of these playlists I have digitized as well.

      1. Which begs the question, what was your 1st? Mine was Deep Purple, Made in Japan, followed soon thereafter by KISS Alive I (5th/6th grade?) Obviously I still have all mine too… but now it’s less about playing and mostly about a dream of mine: to build my own listening room in which I plan on using all the LP covers I still have to wallpaper the walls. It would so rule.
